Male Therapeutic Group Home

MHY Family Services Therapeutic Group Home is a Sexual Abuse Prevention Program for Males  that are delinquent or dependent between the ages 11-18. The therapeutic group home program is designed to promote pro-social skills, moral reasoning skills, and independent living skills by applying the principles of restorative justice, to male adolescents. Through the provision of individualized therapeutic services based largely on the Sanctuary principles of care as well as utilizing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the residential services program seeks to improve individual functioning while helping to develop skills that will successfully reintegrate the client into his family and community or into a less restrictive living environment when a return to his family is not possible. Boys must be deemed dependent or delinquent and court ordered to placement; a mental health diagnosis is not required. The youth must also demonstrate a need for this specialized program.
