The program emphasizes the Sanctuary and Trauma-Informed Care Models as well as utilizing Trauma Focused CBT principles. MHY’s Male PRTF seeks support youth in developing skills that will successfully reintegrate the youth into his family and community, or into a less restrictive level of care.

A PRTF treatment recommendation must come from a psychiatrist, and the youth must be demonstrating a need for this specialized program. Those served will need to meet the medical necessity criteria for placement under medical assistance.
