MHY Family Services Earns Candid’s 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency

MHY Family Services earned the highest-level award from nonprofit monitor Candid, the Platinum Seal of Transparency.

For a nonprofit, transparency is a form of accountability. Families, school districts, funders, and donors trust MHY, and the Platinum Seal shows that trust is earned.

What is Candid?

Candid, formerly known as GuideStar, is a service that does the due diligence so donors, foundations, and the public can understand how organizations like MHY operate and get a snapshot of their financial health. This gives funders and volunteers a stronger understanding of how their time and talent donations are being used.

What does the Platinum Seal mean?

Candid’s Seal of Transparency has four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. To reach Platinum, a nonprofit must publicly share its goals, strategies, and metrics, along with demographic information about its board.

Why it matters

The information we provide to Candid covers the work we do every day, from community services to in-home treatment programs to Longmore Academy. Publishing our goals and metrics gives our donors and partners a clearer picture of what their gifts and support make possible.

This also reflects how we approach our mission. We know that evidence-based care depends on knowing what is working, and sharing that information openly holds us to the same standard we ask of the programs we deliver.

Thank you

This recognition belongs to the staff who gather and verify our data, the board that guides our direction, and the donors, volunteers, and partners who support our programs.
